Join the movement shaping the future of Great Ife. Arogs 4 Secretary General!
I'M AROGUNDADE ABDULROHEEM, AROGS
A proven record. A vision built on service, not slogans. A movement that belongs to every student, because every student matters. Arogs 4 Secretary-General.
The Message
A personal message about what this mission stands for, and why the time for IMPACT is now. Every student at Great Ife deserves a union that works as hard as they do.
AROGS 4 SEC GEN · Great Ife Students' Union · #RiseWithIMPACT
Arogs is not a stranger to the corridors of student governance at OAU. From the faculty level to the broadest cross-faculty platforms, this is a candidate who has shown up, delivered, and earned every endorsement through action , not words.
A product of Obafemi Awolowo University's finest tradition, Arogs combines intellectual rigour with grassroots empathy, understanding that the student body is a rich, diverse community deserving leadership that sees every voice.
The slogan #RiseWithIMPACT is not just a campaign phrase, it is a philosophy built on Integrity, Movement, Presence, Action, Community, and Transformation.
"EVERY STUDENT AT GREAT IFE DESERVES A UNION THAT WORKS AS HARD AS THEY DO."
— Arogs · #RiseWithIMPACTSix pillars. One mission. A union built to work for every single student at Great Ife without exception. From Moremi to Mozambique, from ETF to the Faculty of Law — no student is left behind in the IMPACT agenda.
Leadership is not a campaign, it's a history. Here is what has already been accomplished.
A union built to work for every single student at Great Ife without exception.
Establish a dedicated Student Wellness Centre, expand free counselling sessions, and create an emergency hardship fund for students in acute need.
Lobby for a grading transparency portal, structured departmental tutorials, and a formal student-faculty dialogue calendar every semester.
Advocate for rehabilitated study spaces, functional hostel facilities, and a university-wide emergency response protocol co-managed by the union.
Launch the Union Internship Board, a partnership with alumni and corporates to create paid internship pipelines for Great Ife students.
Ensure every faculty, minority group, and special-needs student has a direct channel into union decision-making. No voice left behind.
Monthly activity reports, open budgets, and access to minutes adequately. Leadership with nothing to hide and everything to prove.
"THE BEST FORM OF REPRESENTATION ISN'T ENTIRELY THE ONE THAT SOLVES PROBLEMS, IT'S THE ONE THAT PREDICTS THEM BEFORE IT HAPPENS."— Arogs · #RiseWithIMPACT
Not promises, pledges backed by a track record that makes them believable.
Nigeria's unemployment crisis is not caused by your degree, it is caused by the failure to connect talent to opportunity. A staffed, resourced Union Career Hub will operate every semester: internship pipelines, CV clinics, industry linkages, and alumni networks activated for every student, every faculty. Not a noticeboard. A living bridge from Ile-Ife to the world.
A digital Union Internship Hub — resourced and actively connecting students to Intership opportunities every semester.
Major decisions, approved resolutions, committee reports, and relevant Union activities will be documented and made available to students. Every student deserves to know not just what decisions were made, but why they were made.
I will establish a modern digital secretariat where congress resolutions, executive decisions, official notices, meeting minutes, constitutions, and policy documents are properly archived and easily accessible to students. Information should not be lost because leadership changes.
I will ensure proper handover documentation, preservation of Union records, project reports, and historical archives so that future administrations inherit knowledge, not confusion.
Official correspondence, reports, memoranda, communiqués, and Union publications will reflect professionalism, accuracy, and excellence worthy of the Great Ife Students' Union.
A unified student portal for union services, schorlaship schemes, petition submission, event registration, and feedback — so you never chase a union official to be heard.
